MentionBeat is a measurement service, and these are the terms for using it: what you own, how credits work, and what nobody in this category — us included — can honestly promise you.
Last updated .
These terms are the agreement between you (or the organisation you sign up for) and Brevence Oy (Business ID 3454899-8, Kivenhakkaajankuja 3 B, 02650 Espoo, Finland), the company that operates MentionBeat. By creating an account or using the free tools you accept them.
MentionBeat is an AI-visibility measurement service. It asks AI assistants questions about your category, records how they answer, and reports what it measured — with sample sizes and confidence intervals. It also audits pages, keeps a queue of fixes, and helps you produce and publish content. Free tools are available without an account.
This is the clause we would most like you to read.
Keep your credentials secret, and tell us promptly if you think they have been exposed. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your workspace. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Do not use MentionBeat to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, to attack or overload our systems or anyone else's, to resell access without a written agreement with us, or to scrape sites you have no right to fetch. The free tools are rate-limited; do not attempt to work around the limits. We may suspend an account that is doing damage, and we will tell you why.
The service depends on AI providers, payment and email infrastructure, and the public web. When one of them changes or fails, parts of the service may be delayed or unavailable. We report gaps as gaps rather than filling them in with estimates.
We aim to keep the service running and to give notice of planned maintenance, but the service is provided "as is" without a formal uptime commitment unless we have signed one with you separately.
To the extent the law allows: neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits or revenue; and our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
You can close your account at any time. We can end this agreement if you materially break these terms and do not fix it within 30 days of us telling you, or immediately for unlawful use. On termination you can export your data for 30 days, after which we delete it.
If we change these terms materially, we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and the District Court of Helsinki has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except where mandatory law says otherwise. MentionBeat is sold to businesses; if you are using it as a consumer, the protections of your own country's law apply to you regardless of this clause.
